Here she shares how to make a natural, simple and waste-free children's Christmas gift withย herย special little helper, Esmeralda. Aromatic playdough is a wonderful sensory tool (not just touch, but smell, too) and perfect if you've run out of time and ideas for your littlest ones as it uses ingredients you probably already have at home!
It's also a fun activity for the festive seasonโ keep the kids occupied when guests are over. They can play away using their little imaginations!
Here, Georgie shares her recipe for AROMATIC PLAYDOUGH in the first of our DIY series.

AROMATIC PLAYDOUGHย RECIPE
Ingredients
One batch makes up to three handful-sized portions.
2 cups plain flourย
2 cups water
2 tablespoons oil - olive or coconut oil
4 tablespoons cream of tartar
1 cup salt
ย
Optional add-in:
Lavender or wild orange essential oilย (or oil of your choice)
5-10 drops
๐ฑLavender is very gentle and calming for young children and is also the oil of communication!
๐ฑWild orange is uplifting, good for immune support and is the oil of abundance which inspires creativity and positivity!

Method
Mix all ingredients together in a saucepan (except the essential oil)
Pop on medium heat for 3-5 minutes until it's combined and a smooth consistency
Take off heat
Pop onto a board sprinkled with flourย
Knead until smooth
Once cooled you can add in your lavender or wild orange essential oil, 5-10 dropsย
Knead again, and it's ready for playtime!

If you are making this for gifts:
Divide into three portions
Use a glass jar or anything you have at home you can reuse!
Tie some jute twine around it with some rosemary, and it'll smell amazing!!
